“There is plenty of opportunity here. We value people who are able to watch, learn and apply.”
Nate shares why he thinks Praxis is a great place to work.
As a Principal New Product Development Engineer, what’s your typical day like?
I take products from concept to production. Right now, I’m working on a next-generation implantable port for delivering cancer medication. I also worked on the first generation of this port. It’s exciting because the customer took our feedback and it’s resulting in a better product for patients.
What do you enjoy most about working for Praxis?
It has challenges that are exciting and different every day. You get to do everything. You’re not limited to one part, one operation. The culture here is one where you can live up to your potential.
What do you feel is the best part about working at Praxis?
We have a strong leadership team that is good at listening. It’s a growing company, but it’s still small enough to have plenty of access to the executive team. We’re diversified in our product lines (e.g. medical products, commercial products, defense/aerospace products), which gives us market stability and built-in resilience.
We really are pioneering and advancing titanium production globally. Our job is to understand the science behind what we do and then apply it to solve real problems. This requires constant innovation. It’s exciting to be part of a team that operates at this level.
