Position Available: Sr. Engineer

  • The Sr. Engineer provides technical leadership in innovation, development, optimization and implementation of new and existing products and manufacturing processes, procedures, tooling and equipment. Collaborate with R&D Engineers and customers on the MIM design and development of new products to ensure design for manufacturability.
    • Primary Responsibilities:

    • Product Development
  • – Use fundamental product development tools (FMEA, process flow chart, process capability, six sigma, lean concepts) to reduce variation and achieve capable processes with high production yields.
  • – Innovate, design, develop, optimize tooling, equipment and processes and implement manufacturing procedures.
  • – Interface with mold vendors for mold procurement and suppliers for secondary operations.
  • – Oversee execution of product specific engineering studies, experiments and process development.
    • Validation
  • – Ensure adequate engineering studies, design verifications, and process validations are conducted such that well developed products are introduced into manufacturing.
  • – Lead and oversee all validation/verification activities (i.e. validation plans, control plans, IQ/OQ/PQs and validation reports).
    • Project Management
  • – Responsible for the on-time, on budget and high quality technical delivery of all project requirements – project cost, schedule and performance targets.
    • General engineering support
  • – Coordinate engineering changes on existing validated product lines.
    • Qualifications:

    • – BS degree in Engineering from an accredited college or university and a minimum of six years of relevant experience
    • – Experienced in project management with a successful history of project implementation
    • – Strong organizational skills
    • – Knowledge and experience with powder metallurgy and injection molding ideal
    • – Proficient in the following computer software applications: MS Project, SolidWorks, and MiniTab software a plus
    • – Metrology experience and the application of statistics is required,
    • – Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate verbally, through email, and formal written reports
    • – Demonstrated ability to work independently to resolve technical issues
    • – Experience in medical device development and/or aerospace plus
    • – Education and experience applying lean manufacturing principles, six sigma

  • Position Available: Metrology Technician

    • The Metrology Technician develops technical measurements and reports to meet quality goals using a variety of testing methods with the majority being performed with visual measurement devices. The position works with Engineering and Manufacturing by providing the measurements to drive continuous quality improvement.
      • Primary Responsibilities:

    • – Determine the proper measurement instrument and process given a detailed part drawing.
    • – Assist in the development and implementation of metrology methods and statistical data analysis.
    • – Interface with Project Engineers regarding design and development of parts and tooling from quotation stage through product lifecycle.
    • – Support project management objectives by meeting timeline commitments and balancing multiple priorities.
    • – Purchase gauge tooling as required to support product launch
    • – Interpret and understand GD&T callouts on prints
    • – Perform gauge R&R studies.
    • – Operate other laboratory testing instruments as needed.
    • – Provide support to product validation
    • – Keep accurate records and supply memos and reports in support of product development.
    • – Coordinate all metrology with Metrology Technician II
      • Qualifications:

  • – Relevant Associates degree or equivalent experience is required
  • – 3 years experience in lab position of similar nature within the medical or plastics industry.
  • – Proven proficiency in programming, operating and maintaining Optical and Touch probe CMM systems.
  • – Proficient in the following computer software applications: MS Project, SolidWorks, and MiniTab, MeasureMind 3D, Smart Report, QC-Calc Real Time, Snap-X software a plus
  • – Metrology experience and the application of statistics is desired
  • – Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate verbally, through email, and formal written reports
  • – Demonstrated ability to work independently to resolve technical issues
  • – Experience in medical device development and/or aerospace plus
  • – Education and experience applying lean manufacturing principles

  • Position Available: Quality Technician

    • The Quality Technician assures consistent quality of product by employing Praxis Technology’s Quality Management System to meet customer’s expectations, company objectives and applicable regulations and standards.
      • Primary Responsibilities:

      • – Support the approved supplier, equipment maintenance and calibration programs.
      • – Support activities in the non-conforming material, internal auditing and training programs.
      • – Support activities in the corrective and preventive action program.
      • – Perform qualification and change control activities, including risk management, for changes and improvements to currently qualified processes to ensure compliance with current requirements.
      • – Support activities in the customer complaint program
      • – Responsible for the release of incoming and in-process materials, certification and release of customers’ materials and products.
      • – Prepare certification and shipping documentation for shipping samples and final components.
      • – Compile and report on Quality metrics.
      • – Conduct quality reviews of the Device History File.
      • – Support rectifying any discrepancies identified during incoming, in-process and final inspection activities.
      • – Support activities related to drafting new procedures, engineering specifications and record sheets.
      • – Conduct qualification activities including drafting test procedures, protocols and reports and performing tests according to written protocols and procedures.
      • Qualifications:

  • – Associates degree in related field or equivalent experience.
  • – Two years experience in a quality role in support of the medical device or aerospace industry.
  • – Demonstrated ability to work independently and proactively.
  • – Proficient in the following computer software applications: Microsoft Office programs, including Excel.
  • – Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate verbally, through email, and formal written reports.
  • – Familiarity with statistical techniques.
  • – Experience with measurement devices is preferred.
  • – Quality System Regulation experience is preferred.
  • – Knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 13485 and AS9100 is preferred.
  • – Education and experience applying lean manufacturing principles, six sigma is a plus.
  • – Internal auditing experience is a plus.
  • – Knowledge of MasterControl or an electronic QMS is a plus.
  • – ASQ certification is a plus.
